Riot (Mayhem #2) by Jamie Shaw

by
When Dee Dawson meets sexy mohawked guitarist Joel Gibbon, she knows it won’t be long before she has him wrapped around her finger. No guy has ever been able to resist her… but Dee’s met her match in a player like Joel.

Dee’s not the relationship type—not after seeing the pain “love” has caused her friends and family—yet she’s desperate to make Joel want her more than anyone else. He quickly becomes an obsession, and when a reckless attempt to make him jealous ends in disaster, Dee turns into the damsel in distress she never wanted to be. With her carefree world crashing down around her, the last thing she needs is Joel’s pity.

But Joel is suddenly determined to prove he cares, and no matter how hard Dee tries to push him away, he refuses to let her shut him out. Now the girl who swore she’d never say those three little words must choose between guarding her heart and losing Joel forever… or falling head-over-heels for the tattooed rock star of her dreams

Jen's Review  4 Stars

This book  was awesome - i t started out slow because I couldn't get over the first book - I wasn't impressed with Joel and Dee came off as a ditz -  But mostly because it started out with both of them playing the game - trying to "one up" the other by making the other jealous. Seeing who would cave first, but after awhile realizing that both of them were too stubborn to cave.
And after that one last time, the game got seriously messed up and really screwed things up.... or put things on the right path for these two. Depending on how you look at it :)

This book was crazy - I enjoyed watching these two learn about each other, and how they learned about themselves in the process - I also cried - a lot!  I guess I liked these two more than I thought I did :) Towards the end, things in their heads and their stubbornness really shook me up. I hated it! But I kept reading, and I'm glad I did :)

Great story! Thanks Juls for recommending this series to me :)

In this story, we meet a new member in the band - and she'll be staring in the next book (Which I can't wait to start!)
This is what made me instantly like her

Are you a girl that can play the guitar?"
"I think so" Kit says with a perfectly straight face.
"I mean, it's dificult since my vagina is constantly getting in the way, but I've learned to manage it just lik any other handicap." Her brows pull down in a frown, and she says "sadly I don't get special parking"

Lol Can't WAIT to start CAOS tomorrow :)
